ShopMap Privacy Policy
Effective August 13, 2026
ShopMap helps shop owners create and share maps of their shops. This policy explains the information used by the app and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
Depending on the features you use, ShopMap processes:
- account information, including your email address, display name, and sign-in session;
- shop, map, inventory, pin, and routine information that you create;
- videos that you record in the app or select from your photo library when you choose to create a 3D map; and
- technical information needed to operate uploads, such as upload status and network errors.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, create and display shop maps, store inventory information you choose to add, process map-generation uploads, and maintain reliability and security. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app advertising.
Camera and photo library
Camera access is used only when you choose to record a video for a shop map. The photo picker is used only when you choose a video to import. ShopMap does not request broad photo-library access.
Storage, sharing, and retention
Information is stored with the service providers used to run ShopMap. Access to shop content is limited to authenticated users with the appropriate shop membership. Videos submitted for map processing are retained only as needed to complete or recover an upload and then removed according to operational retention controls.
Your choices
You can stop using camera and photo features at any time by declining or revoking permissions in iOS Settings. You can also contact us to ask a privacy question or request help with information associated with your account.
